New South Wales′ second flag was adopted in 1870, a flag very similar to the flag of Victoria.
The badge in the fly was the badge adopted as the "Governor′s Badge" on 20 April 1870. The badge shows the Southern Cross comprising five gold stars, ranging from 5 to 9 points, and with each star having one point pointing towards the bottom of the flag. The Southern Cross was surmounted by an Imperial Crown.
