New design for the Australian flag

After nearly ten years of researching virtually every imaginable design, the board of directors of Ausflag decided late last year to adopt the Southern Cross design shown in our new brochure. This is the first time Ausflag has formally adopted a design for the Australian flag.

The very conservative nature of the Australian people suggests that they would far prefer the "evolutionary" Southern Cross, white on blue design than green and gold designs incorporating kangaroos, the Southern Cross and other such devices.

Furthermore, virtually every designer we have worked with has advised us that green and gold are extremely difficult colours to incorporate in a flag design.

The new brochure also includes the Banjo Paterson poem entitled "Our Own Flag" written in 1900... what vision!

Ausflag will now embark upon an extensive promotional programme.
