Monday 14th – In an astonishing blunder, the Australian Monarchist League has proved Ausflag's case for a new Australian flag by using the New Zealand flag to promote their fundraising appeal for November's republic referendum! We captured their poster before the national media alerted them to their mistake – and we have preserved it on this site! Read our Media Release! The Quote of the Month! for June has been added.

May 1999
Saturday 1st – The top 10 flag designs in the Australian Flag Competition, as chosen by the judges, were announced today! The Quote of the Month! for May has been added.

February 1999
Wedneday 3rd – The latest two Ausflag Media Releases have been added. The Quote of the Month! for February has been added.

January 1999
Monday 25th – The top 20 flag designs in the Australian Flag Competition, as voted by the public, announced today! The judges will now contact individual designers, not necessarily just those voted in the top 20, to discuss whether any designs can be refined or improved before making their final decision on the winners. The final winners will be announced at a later date.
